The Petuaria Community Forum is holding another Scarecrow Festival this year. It will take place on Saturday 29th October 2016 at Blackburn Leisure on Prescott Avenue (off Skillings Lane) in Brough. Doors open at 12 noon.
The event will be themed for Halloween. Highlights include scarecrow competition, pumpkin carving competition and fancy dress competition. The judging panel will include Radio Humberside personalities Blair Jacobs and Doug Stewart. Prizes have been donated by local businesses.
If you would like to enter the scarecrow competition you can download a registration form from here. Bring the completed form along with your scarecrow to Blackies Club. Entries will be accepted on the day between 11.30am and 1pm or between 4pm and 7pm on Friday 21st or Friday 28th October.
There will be a funfair as well as many indoor attractions in case of inclement weather. Refreshments will be available and the celebrations continue into the evening with entertainment in Blackies club provided by popular acoustic duo Woodsmoke.
